Attend this webinar to gain insights into practice that will assist you in supporting children’s mental health after trauma.


The webinar will feature a facilitated interdisciplinary panel discussion of a case study. The panel will comprise of Dr Sara McLean (psychologist), Dr Jackie Amos (psychiatrist) and Phoebe (lived experience advocate) in a discussion with Daniel Moss - Emerging Minds’ Workforce Development Manager. Learning Outcomes

Through an exploration of effective practice in engaging children and parents after trauma participants will:
  • identify the impacts of trauma and adversity on the developing brain and how this might affect a child's behaviour, social and cognitive functioning
  • describe effective applications of preventative approaches that can reduce the likelihood of mental health and behavioural concerns developing in children at different stages of their lives
  • identify individual family contexts of children and parents who present to services after trauma and ways to have helpful conversations, providing ways forward and hope.
