林奇恩教授醫生

葉寶儀醫生

许贻碧医生
结肠直肠外科医生,阿尔弗雷德王子医院,外科结果研究中心(SouRCe),阿尔弗雷德王子学术外科研究所

Do you understand the role of traditional Chinese medicine and diet during your cancer treatment and care? We will be discussing the integration of Eastern and Western medicine (and potential negative effects) as well as how to access emotional support for you and your family members.








Professor Danforn Lim
Registered Family Medicine & Chinese Medicine Practitioner, Adjunct Professor, UTS Sydney, Expert Committee Member, The Royal Australian College of GPs.

Prof Danforn Lim has served as an Advisory Committee Member for the NSW Health Professionals Council Authority and the Senior (Professional) Member for the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal. He is currently a NSW Chinese Medicine Council Member and a Member of the Expert Committee for the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and the Transform Australian Guidelines Project Group for Cochrane Australia. He has completed several postgraduate studies in Australia and since 2008 published more than 75 journal articles. He has been a reviewer and editorial board member (including Chief Editor) for more than 35 different peer reviewed journals.

Prof Lim is a well-known media personality in the Chinese community appearing on various medical Chinese TV and Radio programs. He lectures, speaks and writes about health for various publications and is frequently sought by SBS Cantonese and Mandarin Radio Stations to speak on various health topics.

Dr. Po Yee Yip
Staff Specialist Medical Oncologist, Macarthur Cancer Therapy Centre, Campbelltown
Conjoint Lecturer, School of Medicine, Western Sydney University

Dr Po Yee Yip is a staff specialist medical oncologist at Macarthur Cancer Therapy Centre, Campbelltown Hospital with special interests in thoracic oncology, head and neck cancers and melanoma. She is a conjoint lecturer at Western Sydney University. She completed her PhD at the University of Sydney titled "Markers of prognosis in resected stage IB non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC)". One of her research interests is translational research in thoracic oncology. She is a visiting scientist at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research and member of Sydney Catalyst and the Centre for Oncology Education and Research Translation (CONCERT) at Ingham Institute.

Ms. May Mak
Master of Health Service Management
Assistant Manager, Department of Dietetics; Clinical and Research Dietitian, Liverpool Hospital

Ms. May Mak is the Assistant Manager of Dietetics Department at Liverpool Hospital and has been a clinical dietitian for 15 years. She has worked in three different Cancer Centre’s across two States. May has also led and involved in various research studies on nutrition.

Dr Cherry Koh
Colorectal Surgeon, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Surgical Outcomes Research Centre (SOuRCe), RPA Institute of Academic Surgery

Dr. Cherry Koh is a Colorectal Surgeon who works at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney. Dr Koh underwent post-fellowship training at RPA in Sydney and the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford in the United Kingdom. Dr Koh has broad clinical and academic interests. Academically, she previously completed a Masters of Surgery in Colorectal Surgery researching the value of anorectal physiology in the treatment of faecal incontinence and the effectiveness of biofeedback for obstructive defaecation. She is currently near completion of her PhD which is looking at decision making surrounding pelvic exenteration for locally recurrent rectal cancers. Her other academic interests include intestinal failure and surgical outcomes. Clinically, her interests include minimally invasive techniques including transanal resection, IBD and pelvic floor dysfunction.

Dr Cindy Sim Yee Tan
Research and Clinical Dietitian, Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, Concord Repatriation General Hospital

Cindy graduated from Deakin University with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Food science and Nutrition) in 1999 and completed her Masters of Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Sydney in 2003. Cindy has been working in medical oncology since 2004. In 2013 she completed PhD thesis entitled ‘Nutritional status and clinical outcomes in ambulatory cancer patients commencing chemotherapy’ through The University of Sydney. She is currently working as a senior Clinical and Research Dietitian, specialising in cancer nutrition, at Concord Cancer Centre and Sydney Survivorship Centre. She has always had an interest in the nutritional status of cancer patients and their response to cancer treatments. Her most recent work is centred on cancer survivorship, where one of the main focuses is to promote healthy eating as part of a lifestyle intervention to help cancer survivors stay healthy and fit.
